The KICKR’ Sessions

Durata Training and Wild Basin Fitness – Steiner Ranch are bringing Austin athletes a series of power based indoor trainer classes (The KICKR’ Sessions) that are designed to bridge the gap between high end personalized coaching and the limitations previously found in typical group training environments.

Through the employment of Durata Collective Training (DCT) athletes of all levels can now benefit from the same high performance coaching that has become synonymous with Durata Training.

KICKR’ Sessions will follow the same training principles that have led Durata athletes to success all over town and all over the globe, with each session designed by a USAC Level 1 & USAC Power Based Training Certified coach. Best of all you get to use your own bike on the provided Wahoo KICKR’ power trainers while you train in a safe, conducive and fun environment.

The KICKR’ Sessions are outlined below:

Single 6 week sessions throughout the year + 1 orientation class. (13 classes total)

Each 6 week session is comprised of 2 power based classes per week. Each session addresses specific seasonal developmental phases appropriate for all athletes.

Utilizing the industry standard Power Based Trainer Wahoo Kickr’ – all athletes can now fully capitalize on the advantages of power based training.

Athletes’ workouts utilize their own specific power ranges based on their current fitness and their own physiology determined by testing at the beginning of each session. You will then retest at the end of each session to monitor fitness improvements.

Each class is purpose driven and progressive in nature, so that over the course of the session your fitness is improving in a structured and measured fashion.

In addition to a great workout you’ll also pick up valuable training, nutrition, pacing, racing tips and more from the Durata coaches.

• Option to upload file to favorite training platform (Training Peaks, Map My Ride, Garmin Connect, WKO+, etc.)

• Classes 75min in duration and are held on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 am.

• We currently cannot offer make-up sessions, however, if you miss a class we will happily send you the workout from the missed session.

• Classes are limited to 10 athletes per class.

• Athletes have use of the Wild Basin Fitness locker and shower facilities.

• Sessions are non-refundable however if you cannot make your 6 week session you may move your slot to the next available class (written notice and request must be given within a week of the initial session).
